Cardiff Metropolitan University has ranked best in Wales and seventh in the UK in the Uni Compare Top 100 university rankings 2021.
Climbing 51 places to 7th overall in the UK (up from 58th in 2020), Cardiff Met is the biggest mover on the list ahead of University of Sheffield, Liverpool John Moores University, and the University of Birmingham.
Cardiff Met top the list in Wales, followed by Swansea University and Cardiff University in second and third places respectively.
Using student reviews the rankings provide an insight into student opinions of higher education institutions across the UK.
Consistently climbing the top league tables in recent years, Cardiff Met was named The Times and Sunday Times, Good University Guide Welsh University of the Year 2021, with the recent National Student Survey placing the institution's overall satisfaction rate 1% above the UK national average.
Speaking about her time at the university, Katie, a (BA) Graphic Communication student, said: "Cardiff Met feels like a home away from home. It's where I met my best mates."
