Cardiff Met climbs in Complete University Guide league table

Cardiff Metropolitan University is celebrating after an impressive rise in this year’s Complete University Guide league table.

The University climbed nine places to 62, its highest placing in 14 years, and across the board, the University’s performance metrics either rose or held at the same level.

Student satisfaction has also risen 23 places this year. Cardiff Met also ranks 11 in the UK – above the likes of Oxford, Loughborough, and Bath – for the ‘Graduate Prospects career on track’ metric, which reflects the number of recent graduates who agree that their current activity fits with their future plans.

Vice-Chancellor and President, Rachael Langford, said: “These results signal the continuous path of improvement Cardiff Met is on. Everyone in our community has played a key role in this success and we remain committed to continuing to drive improvements to the student experience.”

Among the highlights from the CUG 2025 rankings are Speech and Language Therapy which ranked 6 in the UK, Architecture at 16 and Sport at 18. Art and Design had a sharp rise of 11 places to 27.

Architecture is also ranked second in the UK for Graduate Prospects.
