The South East Wales Centre for Teacher Education and Training (SEWCTET) is a collaboration between Cardiff Metropolitan University and the University of South Wales and is jointly managed by both institutions.
The SEWCTET Research Steering Group are focussed on the development of effective pedagogic practice, with the following key research themes:
Special Educational Needs
Bilingualism
Social Inclusion (mitigating the effects of poverty and deprivation on pupil outcomes)
New technologies in the curriculum
Outdoor learning
