This research group aims to: develop a cohesive representation and collective overview of different approaches and perspectives on educational transitions. Our overarching focus is to develop cross-disciplinary expertise in exploring the impact that transitions in education can have on children, young people, and adults, particularly in currently underexplored areas, such as children and young people who are vulnerable and disadvantaged.
Key objectives include developing and establishing collaborative networks within Wales and beyond, in researching aspects of educational transition that will inform best practice and enhance understanding of the transition process in education from a holistic perspective.
We hope to support colleagues interested in better understanding educational transitions and applying this knowledge to their own fields of study and investigation. The group hosts regular meetings, seminars, and workshops.
