Staff Overview

​​​Dr Bassam Al-shargabi is a Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering at Cardiff School of Technologies, Cardiff Metropolitan University. He received his PhD in Computer Information Systems in 2009, and his MSc in Computer Information Systems from the AABFS in 2004. Al-shargabi has been a guest editor and an active member of the technical program committee at many international conferences and leading journals. His research work has been published in various renowned journals and conferences of Elsevier, IEEE, Springer, and ACM.

Teaching

​​My teaching experience has covered a wide range of topics in computer science and Software engineering including the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Systems Analysis and design, Software testing, Web application Development, Data Structures, Service Oriented Architecture, and Data Mining.

Research

​​My current research interests are in Data Security, Internet of Things, Natural language processing, Data Mining, and Service-Oriented Architecture.
