Staff Overview

​​Short overview / biography (1 paragraph only – keep brief) I am an academic by profession, educator at heart and engineer by training. As a lecturer in Computer Science and Programme Director of BSc Computer & Data Science at Cardiff Metropolitan University, I aim to have a good blend of research and hands on experience for my subjects. I enjoy teaching and strive for engaging content for my pupils and encourage learning by using hands-on experience with real-world datasets and tools.

Research

​​My research focuses on the feasibility of Distributed Ledgers (DLTs) and Blockchain Technology for data security and secure data management. My key areas of research are DLTs frameworks, security, privacy and immutability aspects of DLTs and Blockchain as well as legislative and deployment challenges. I am also passionate about utilising data insights to drive value for SMEs and data usage to better the service and employment prospects, creating a wider impact in communities.
