Location

The Cyncoed Halls are set in landscaped grounds and offer the advantage of studying, training and living on campus. The campus is regularly served by the 52 Cardiff Bus, which provides convenient transport to the student areas of Roath and Cathays within 10 minutes, as well as offering transport to the city centre of Cardiff. The campus is a 10 minute walk from a supermarket and Roath Park.

Self-catered En-suite 'Classic' - 93 bedrooms
Self-catered En-suite 'Classic' Plus - 36 bedrooms
Self-catered En-suite 'Premium' - 78 bedrooms
Catered 'Classic' – 50 bedrooms
Catered En-suite 'Premium' - 277 bedrooms

All bills are included in your rent and will not increase during the academic year.

Who lives here?

Suitable for Cardiff Met students studying Sport in the Cardiff School of Sport & Health Sciences and for students studying at Cardiff School of Education and Social Policy*.

*Programmes in Social Work, Health & Social Care and Housing are taught at the Llandaff campus. As such, Plas Gwyn is a better option for students studying those courses.

What are the options and costs? - Cyncoed

This campus offers five categories of accommodation, and costs are based on the relevant standard, the additional facilities available and whether you choose a self-catered or catered option.

When applying for accommodation you may list which type you would like to be allocated in order of preference. However, we cannot always guarantee you will be allocated your preferred choice.

Self-Catered Ensuite Classic

£152pw – 40-week contract

Offering a single study, ensuite bedroom with access to a shared, fully equipped kitchen. Each flat is shared by 8 students.

Self-Catered En-suite Classic Plus

£148pw – 40-week contract

Self-Catered Ensuite Premium

£168pw – 40-week contract

Each room contains a ¾ bed with an ensuite and access to a shared, fully equipped kitchen. Each flat is shared by 8 students.

Catered Classic – with shared bathrooms

£203pw – 40-week contract

Each room contains a single bed with access to shared bathroom facilities and basic shared kitchen space. Each flat is shared between 8-10 students. This is our most value-for-money option while giving you the convenience of being on campus and in the heart of our student community.

Catered Ensuite Premium

£224pw – 40-week contract

Each room contains either a single bed or ¾ bed with an ensuite and access to a shared kitchen. Each flat is shared between 10-16 students.

*Catered halls = two meals a day, seven days a week.
