Overview
Susan joined Cardiff Met as a Senior Lecturer in Early Childhood Studies in September 2004. Previously she taught in the field of Early Years Education in Nursery and Reception, before becoming a tutor on the CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education at Coleg Gwent Ebbw Vale. She also taught with the Open University on their Early Childhood Studies Degree programmes. She is currently a senior lecturer and Pathway Leader on the Professional Doctorate / EdD within the CSESP. She also teaches on the PGCE primary programme and is the primary humanities lead. She also teaches on the MA in Education and is a dissertation tutor.
Susan is carrying out research into quiet, shy or anxious children in the primary and secondary school. She is also the chair of BAME education Wales network and is interested in BAME children’s educational experiences.
