Paul Jones

Overview

Paul joined Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2004 as a Senior Technician in the department of Biomedical Sciences having previously been the Technical Manager of the DNA sequencing service at the University of Bath. In 2008 he became a Technician Demonstrator demonstrating in Biomedical Science practical classes such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Cell Biology. In addition to demonstrating, Paul also provides technical support to the school’s Research and Innovation laboratories in a number of disciplines such as microbiology, cell culture, RT-PCR, fluorescent and bright field microscopy and flow cytometry. Paul is a member of the School’s Health and Safety Inspection Team Working Group and Research Laboratory Users Group.

Paul obtained the Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in 2018
