Overview

Nic is a Forensic Psychologist and Reader at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Her practice and research interests relate to violence, preventing violence and improving wellbeing. Nic is a registered forensic psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council and also works as a Lead Visitor for the HCPC assisting them to evaluate academic programmes for practitioner psychologists in the UK. She is also a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Full Member of the BPS Division of Forensic Psychology (DFP). She is the Chair of the Division of Forensic Psychology.

Nic is the Programme Director for the Practitioner Forensic Psychology Programme which is the largest practitioner forensic psychologist training programme in the UK. Nic recognises the value in sharing knowledge between academics and practitioners and seeks to share this with students at Cardiff Metropolitan University to extend the application of psychology in practice.
