Overview
I joined Cardiff Metropolitan University as a Lecturer in 2013.
My PhD in Creative writing and Critical practice included research into feminism, surrogacy, post-humanism, medical humanities and the wounded researcher. I hold an MA in English and Creative Writing (Distinction) and an MSc in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes (Distinction) from Metanoia Institute (training programmes in humanistic and integrative counselling and psychotherapy). I have a post graduate Diploma in Dramatherapy and a certificate in Trauma Reduction counselling. I have worked as a Creative Arts Therapist in the NHS, Social Services and privately in mental health, secondary treatment and in schools. My first degree was in English and Drama.
