Overview

Professor David Brooksbank is Senior Dean of Cardiff School of Management at Cardiff Metropolitan University and Professor of Enterprise. David took up this role in 2012 following a period as Associate Dean responsible for enterprise and innovation in the school.

David has served as Pro-Vice Chancellor responsible for the enterprise and commercialisation portfolio of the university, enhancing the performance of all matters related to enterprise/entrepreneurship and providing strategic leadership to the academic Schools in this area. Now as Senior Dean, David leads the Deans’ Group of the university as well as providing strategic leadership to the School of Management.

David holds a BSc in Economics from Swansea University, an MSc in Economics from the University of Bristol and PhD analysing UK self-employment also from Swansea University.

David is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts & Manufactures (FRSA), a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute (CCMI) and a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales (FLSW).
