Overview
I am currently working as a Senior Lecturer in Data Science. Previously, I worked as a Senior Lecturer in Banking and Finance with Cardiff School of Management for nearly 5 years. Also, I worked as a Lecturer with Curtin University in Australia and Malaysia for nearly 14 years. I completed my PhD in Finance with Curtin University in Australia. Part of my thesis has been commissioned by the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA) under the APRA Research Grant Program. I am a key member of the EUREKA Robotics Lab. I am leading a JD Maths Tutor research project to explore how a JD humanoid robot can help school children in learning maths. I am also focusing on research in algorithmic trading and processing real-time data such as share and currency prices using a machine learning-based approach. To date, I have published several peer-reviewed journal articles and international conference papers. Also, I have received research funding to carry out some research projects.
