Overview
Dr Asif Zaman (Principal Lecturer) is the current Head of the Department of the Accounting Economics and Finance department.
He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Wales, Institute Cardiff (UWIC), and a PhD in Islamic Banking and Finance from Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Dr Asif Zaman has the following professional body associations:

His expertise lies in Islamic Banking and Finance, Corporate Finance and Accounting and sustainable finance.
Before joining Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2010, he worked for several years in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). He joined as a director of human resources and, after a year, switched his role to a full-time academic teaching faculty within the Business and Management department.
