CAWR organise a series of writing retreats each year that are currently only open to Cardiff Met staff and students. The aim of the retreats is to use dedicated writing time to achieve two aims. Firstly, to provide CAWR members with the opportunity to progress the production of a publication or chapter in a supportive environment.
Secondly, to provide an inspiring environment in which to mix with other CAWR members from across the breath of CAWR in terms of stage of career and research interests. Most of the time is for independent writing, but there is also some brief scheduled discussions between writing slots to enable a break from writing and to network with others. We try to choose inspiring locations for our writing retreats.
