Gemma joined the academic teaching team in September 2016, following a two year post as the Senior Performance Analysis Technician at the school.
Since joining the School of Sport, Gemma has integrated herself within the Work Based Learning element of the Sports Performance Analysis (SPA) course, supporting students with internal placements within Cardiff Met Sport. She has also forged strong external links with Wales Squash and Racquetball and Welsh Netball, leading to external placement opportunities for students.
Gemma is an active analyst, with current connections to Welsh Netball Senior Squad and supporting the Celtic Dragon franchise in the National Netball Super League, this alongside supporting Squash Wales International athletes and coaches.

Teaching and Supervision
Gemma is currently delivering Performance Analysis modules at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level, alongside delivering level 5 Squash modules. She is currently a Personal Tutor to Level 4 SPA students.

Sport / Coaching Profile
A Welsh International squash player at junior and senior level. Represented Wales at European Junior and World Junior Team Championships, before going onto represent her country at European Senior Championships.
Gemma attended the Commonwealth Games 2012 as an analyst supporting Team England Doubles Squash.
Squash Wales analyst, attending European Team Championships supporting players and coaches.
Currently working with Welsh Netball Senior team and completed a three test match tour to South Africa in 2016.
All round keen sports person and has represented her County at Netball, Football and Hockey.
