The Sport Management and Development group focuses on applied research that seeks to impact and influence the sporting landscape – internationally, nationally and locally. The group has well established links with the industry and works closely with many relevant organisations across all sectors which, among others, include: government; national governing bodies; sports organisations; local authorities; and leisure trusts. Academics use a range of research methods and frameworks, and are interested in pursuing collaborative research partnerships.
