As the Vice Chancellor of Cardiff Met, I wanted to echo the recent comments made by our new Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson, regarding
the importance and welcome of international students to the UK.
At Cardiff Met, we believe that international students bring invaluable diversity, global perspectives, and cultural richness to our campus and community. Their contributions not only enhance our academic environment but also foster innovation, collaboration, and mutual understanding.
Our commitment to providing a supportive, inclusive, and world-class education experience for all students remains. We very much value the contribution that our international students bring to not only the university, but to the city of Cardiff, making Cardiff a wonderful place to live, work and study.
As we look forward to the new academic year, I want to personally welcome all our international students, both current and future. Your presence is a vital part of what makes our university extraordinary.
