Gayle has been teaching on the BSc (Hons) Environmental Health degree for over 13 years and during this time has become both a fellow and then Senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Gayle has engaged on a Higher Education Academy teaching excellence programme and INSIGHTS leadership development course. She also delivers teaching on the MSc Applied Public Health and supervises master's students across both the MSc Applied Public Health and MSc Occupational Safety, Health & Wellbeing courses.

- Health Impact Assessment
- Health Protection
Gayle has also had the opportunity to deliver teaching sessions in Institutions both in Europe and Africa and continues to foster these international partnerships.
