The international training centre is the central hub for the delivery and development of training and continuing professional education in a broad range of discipline areas within the School of Sport & Health Sciences at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
The vision of the ITC is to provide flexible, accredited learning opportunities for public health practitioners, both here in the UK and internationally.
The ITC is supported by expertise in a number of discipline areas such as biomedical science, occupational and environmental public health, psychology, nutrition and dietetics, housing, health and social care, social work, food science and technology and subjects allied to medicine such as speech and language therapy, podiatry and dental technology. The ethos behind the ITC is to enable public health practitioners both here in the UK and overseas, to enhance their personal and professional development through the provision of innovative, high-quality teaching materials via a number of delivery options such as face to face teaching, distance learning and blended learning packages.
