CIM Certificate and Diploma in Professional & Digital Marketing

The Cardiff School of Management currently offers the CIM Certificate and Diploma in Professional & Digital Marketing. The Certificate is aimed at marketers who have experience in the industry and are looking to advance their career, whilst the Diploma is ideal for marketing managers looking to advance their strategic marketing and management skills.

Level 4 Certificate in Professional & Digital Marketing

The CIM has developed this qualification with extensive employer led research to ensure its relevance to maximising your career progression opportunities. It is focused on:

Level 6 Diploma in Professional & Digital Marketing

The CIM has developed this qualification from extensive employer led research across various sectors, ensuring they align with industry demands. It aims to:

  • Deliver marketing expertise: Apply the knowledge, skills, and understanding required to excel as a Marketing Manager and deliver on the organisations objectives to perform as a rounded marketing professional.

Level 4 Certificate in Professional & Digital Marketing

You need 50 credits for your Level 4 Certificate, we offer the following modules:

  • Marketing Impact (20 credits)
  • Planning Integrated Campaigns (10 credits)
  • Responsible Marketing (10 credits)
  • Content Marketing (10 credits)

All modules are delivered on weekends via face-to-face teaching (supported by a variety of online and library resources). All students will have access to the CIM published module eBooks for each of the mandatory modules, plus assessment support session.

  • 20-credit modules: 3 days
  • 10-credit modules: 2 days

Level 6 Diploma in Professional & Digital Marketing

You need 50 credits for your Level 6 Diploma, we offer the following modules:

  • Societal Impact (10 credits)
  • Customer Journey Optimisation (10 credits)
  • AI Marketing (10 credits)

All modules are delivered on weekends via face-to-face teaching (supported by a variety of online and library resources). All students will have access to the CIM published module eBooks for each of the mandatory modules, plus assessment support session.

CIM Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing:

  • Applied Marketing: 28 June 2024*
  • Planning Campaigns: 24 November 2024*
  • Digital Marketing Techniques: March 2025*

*Students can submit at any of the June, November, and March points but the assessment brief changes.

CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing:

  • The Digital Customer Experience: 28 June 2024*
  • Innovation in Marketing: 24 November 2024*
  • Marketing & Digital Strategy: March 2025*

*Students can submit at any of the June, November, and March points but the assessment brief changes.

Certificate:

You will need one years plus experience in the industry or a relevant Level 3 qualification, CIM or equivalent. Alternatively, a Level 3 Apprenticeship such as the Digital Marketer, Multi-channel Marketer or Marketing Assistant would also be accepted. We’ll consider other equivalent Marketing Apprenticeships.

Diploma:

One or more of the following is required:

  • CIM Level 4 qualification, or relevant equivalent.
  • Level 4 Apprenticeship such as Marketing Executive, or equivalent.
  • Level 6 Apprenticeship such as Marketing Manager, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, with one-third of credits from marketing content.
  • Professional experience (suggested two years of marketing in an operational role).
