The Cardiff School of Art & Design (CSAD) Graduate Degree Show will feature exhibits, installations and outcomes spanning 13 undergraduate programmes. Our students' work will be available at the Cardiff Metropolitan University's Llandaff campus from Friday 7th to Thursday 13th June 2024. It is free to visit and open 10am-6pm on weekdays and 12-4pm on weekends.

As part of the celebrations for this year's degree show, fringe events will be happening across Cardiff including outdoor exhibitions and hands-on workshops where you will be able to throw a pot, design and laser cut a badge, and explore your creativity at our purpose-built studios and workshops.

Event Details
As part of the celebrations for this year’s degree show, a number of events will be happening across Cardiff including public film screenings, celebration events, outdoor exhibitions and hands-on workshops.
Friday 24th May at 7pm – Graduate Fashion Catwalk Show
Our
#CSAD24 celebrations are kicked off in style with our Graduate Fashion Catwalk. The culmination of three years of exploration in pattern, form and function. The catwalk show will be hosted at our Llandaff campus. This is a ticketed event – we'll share the link to book your tickets soon.
Graduate Fashion Catwalk 2023:
Monday 3rd June to Monday 17th June – City Centre Poster Exhibition
Cardiff city centre will host a two-week outdoor exhibition featuring student work from 13 creative undergraduate courses. Work will be shown across 21 city centre locations from Monday 3rd June to Monday 17th June.

Thursday 6th June at 17:30 - Graduate Animation Screening at Chapter Arts Centre
Our graduating Animation cohort take to the big screen, showcasing their work at indie arts venue Chapter. We’ll share the link to book your tickets soon.
Friday 7th June – Opening Night
Join us for the official #CSAD24 at 6pm as we invite colleagues from industry and the public to come along to this special event. Featuring live performances, stalls, industry talks and networking opportunities, our opening night celebrations will be a night to remember!
Sunday 9th June at 12pm - Community Day, Llandaff Campus
Join us for our Community Day to experience life as a student in CSAD. Open from 12-4pm, there will be free workshops running until 3.30pm. Activities are suitable for anyone aged 8+ if accompanied by an adult and will include:
- Throw a pot on the potter’s wheel – prepare clay, learn to control the speed of the wheel, centre the clay and have a go at throwing.
- Design and laser-cut a badge – design a badge, learn how a laser cutter works, and use it to produce your own badge.
- Stop Motion Animation Workshop – an introduction to Dragon Frame stop motion software, using everything from Lego, to plasticine and found objects to create animation.
- Japanese art of Sashiko (刺し子, 'little stabs') – an introduction to the beautiful and mindful Japanese art of Sashiko, traditional embroidery stitching used to decorate and reinforce clothing also known as visible mending.
- Digital Stitch – use our specialist digital embroidery software to create a simple flower or mandala type design, and then watch it come to life in front of you.
- Creative Flow – watercolour, wax resist and mixed media collage – enjoy a sense of discovering through creating your own Creative Flow artwork from a range of media.
