How we allocate rooms

*Important*

We will not be able to allocate any student a hall of residence place without receipt of a completed online 'Halls Application' Form. Priority for halls accommodation is given to first year undergraduate students. Halls are allocated in date order.

Please note that all offers will be made via email. You must ensure that we have your up to date email address to enable us to process your application.

Welsh speakers will be able to inform us if the prefer to live with fellow Welsh speakers. Depending upon demand we will endeavor to meet that preference. Please be aware that students will only be offered accommodation in halls which are designated for their study campus.

Allocations are made in two phases

The first phase of allocations commences middle of July - this is for students who apply prior to the 31st May and hold unconditional offers. Unconditional students who apply after 31st May will be placed in the second phase of allocations.

The second phase of allocations commences after A Level results in August and continues through to the start of term. We can only make offers to students who have received an unconditional offer of an academic place at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
