Developed in conjunction with and accredited by professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) and industry, our specialist Marketing degrees in Digital Marketing, Advertising, Brand, Digital, PR, and Sales as well as our Marketing Management degree will enable you to gain the academic knowledge and practical skills needed to gain employment in the creative and ever-evolving marketing industry.
You will be taught by academic experts, guest speakers from industry and have access to specialist industry software resulting in a ‘learning by doing’ approach. There is an active Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) student chapter giving you the chance to take part in extracurricular activities linked to your studies.
To ensure you gain hands-on practical experience, you will also undertake a compulsory work experience placement in the second year and have the opportunity to take part in creative and entrepreneurial activities with professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Past students have performed consistently well in the CIM ‘Pitch’ competition – a national student marketing competition – where you team with your fellow students to undertake a real-life marketing challenge, set by a leading global brand.
Past graduates have gone on to work for creative agencies managing nationwide advertising campaigns, roles as account managers in PR agencies and more, with others starting their own businesses. In addition, all graduates are well placed to gain exemptions from professional qualifications such as the CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing and Diploma in Professional Marketing.
