Jon Houghton is a Consultant Rheumatologist and Sports Physician in London Sports Orthopaedics. He is the Team Sports Physician for the Football Association of Wales and a Team Doctor to the Army and Combined services Association Football teams. He is also the visiting consultant for Colchester Regional Rehabilitation Units and the lead consultant for the Directorate of Rehabilitations Best Practice Guidelines committee and lead consultant on the Professional Advisory Sub Committee.
He is the Officer responsible for the delivery of post graduate training in rehabilitation and SEM for doctors in the armed forces. Part of this responsibility involves being a tutor and examiner on the University of Wales Institute Cardiff MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine.
Jon is the armed forces representative on the combined colleges Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) for SEM and a member of the FA (South East) medical section.
