My main area of research focuses on how (poly)phenols, such as cocoa flavanols, influence various aspects of exercise and health. I have strong interests in the muscle damage response from exercise, nutritional interventions to aid recovery from soccer match-play or simulation – both female and male players, and the role of fatigue on synergist muscle activation and task completion.
