John’s research investigates the acute consequences of exercise (e.g. fatigue, muscle damage and recovery), particularly resistance-based exercise. To achieve this, he has sought to determine the validity and reliability of several devices used to monitor exercise and determine changes in strength and power metrics. These devices can then be used to measure fatigue, muscle damage and the time course to recovery in a variety of populations (e.g. older and female athlete).
