Lecturer (Performance Analysis)

Email address: grobinson@cardiffmet.ac.uk

I am a lecturer in Performance Analysis in the Cardiff School of Sport. She joined the team in 2014 following a four year tenure at the University of South Wales.  I completed my PhD at Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2012. I am an emerging researcher in the field of Performance Analysis. Contributing to both areas of Performance Analysis and Biomechanics.

Research / Publications

The interest and focus of my study has predominantly been within the field of Performance Analysis, specifically relating to the analysis of technique using methods of Notational Analysis and Biomechanics. My research to date has centred upon the development of a new classification system for the identification of injury risk movements, from automatically captured time- motion data. My aim is to develop upon this body of work and to further investigate the prevention of injury using biomechanical techniques.
