Sports Injury and Rehabilitation

Sports injury and rehabilitation staff have a range of research interests covering exercise, sports concussion and the prevention and rehabilitation of lower limb injuries. Members of staff are actively engaged in interdisciplinary projects and have established international links with industry and Universities, which involves working closely with National governing bodies, sports organisations, medical practitioners and coaches. Current active projects include determining the most effective motor learning strategy to retrain movement, injury prediction from a statistical and stress-mechanism perspective and identifying injury risk factors in elite soccer.
