Congratulations also to the Archers and current students who have earned the honour of representing their nation in the U20s Six Nations: Jac Pritchard, Carwyn Edwards, Will Pearce, Evan Wood, and Arthur Moore.

These achievements reflect Cardiff Met’s status as Wales’ leading university rugby programme. Competing in BUCS Super Rugby and the WRU Community Premiership, Cardiff Met Rugby has a proven track record of developing players for top clubs and international teams. The University offers one of the UK’s largest student programmes with 12 men’s and two women’s teams.

Ben O’Connell, Director of Sport, shared: “We are incredibly proud to see Cardiff Met alumni and students at the Six Nations and U20s Six Nations. Our university is not just a breeding ground for talent; with the new Archers Performance Centre, we host top men’s and women’s rugby teams from around the world, giving students invaluable opportunities to learn from the best.

“Our rugby programme is built on a strong foundation of high-performance coaching, athlete development, and academic support, ensuring that our players excel both on the pitch and in their studies. The combination of elite competition and a supportive environment continues to make Cardiff Met a premier destination for aspiring rugby players.”

Congratulations to all players representing Cardiff Met on the international stage, showcasing the University’s lasting impact on rugby.
