Staff Overview

Dr Mohammed Hamdan (BSc, FHEA, Pg. DIP, MSc, and PhD) is a senior lecturer in Accounting & Finance. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from University of South Wales.

He was awarded his PhD in 2013 for the thesis that examined many issues including: Management Accounting practices, sophistication level of costing systems, Activity-Based Costing, Accounting education, and Organisational Culture. He has presented his work at prestigious peer-review academic conferences such as the British Accounting & Finance Association (BAFA) conference and Management Accounting Research Group Conference in association with the Management Control Association.

Prior to joining the Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2014, he worked as an associate lecturer in Faculty of Business and Society, University of South Wales.

Mohammed is a member of the British Accounting & Finance Association.

Mohammed is a proactive researcher in accounting & Finance with a particular focus on Management Accounting practices.

Mohammed is a fellow member of Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Finally, Mohammed is an external examiner for the University of Bolton, BA (Hons) Business Management; BA (Hons) Accountancy at Bradford College.
