Staff Overview

Kyriaki is an experienced lecturer with over 15 years of teaching, work placement and postgraduate supervision as well as year tutoring in L5 and L6. Recently she became the programme director of BA (Hons) Global Business Management programme in CSM.

Kyriaki has been a member of the Cardiff Metropolitan University family since 2005. After gaining a 1st Class Degree in BA (Hons) Business Studies with Information Systems she successfully completed her PGCE in HE and obtained her fellowship status in the HEA. Her PhD in Information Systems Management investigated the transformation from traditional to agile methods of systems development in a worldwide non-profit organisation.

Teaching

Kyriaki is the module leader across different undergraduate programmes and levels in CSM: Business Information Systems (L4 Module), Work Experience (L5 module) and the Impact of Cultural Diversity on Management Decisions (L6). She has supervised more than 250 second year students during their work placement but also more than 80 postgraduate students in dissertations and new business projects in disciplines such as Information Systems, HRM, and MBA.

She has attained Interdisciplinary experience after teaching a wide range of modules such as Business in a Global Context, Contemporary Issues in Political Economy, Business Research Skills, Leadership and Management of People, Developing Academic Practice, Management in Contemporary Organisations, Managing People and Organisations, Information Systems Project Management, Introduction to Information Systems and IT in Business.
