Dr Florence Kode is a Lecturer in HRM and teaches HRM across programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the university. She has 8 years’ experience teaching HRM and Organisational Behaviour-related courses across programmes in UK universities. She is the module leader for MSc HRM Resourcing and Talent Management and MBA People and Organisation modules. She supervises postgraduate dissertations in her field.
She has interdisciplinary experience teaching modules across programmes such as People and Organisations (L7), Resourcing and Talent Management (L7), Management Skills for Executives (L7), Strategic Leadership Development and Performance Management (L7), Top Management Teams and Corporate Governance (L7), and Leading People and Teams (L7). Additionally, Change Leadership (L6), Leading and Change (L6), Human Resource Management (HRM) (L5), Managing Business Operations (L5), IT and HRM (L4), and Organisational Behaviour (L4). She was also a module link tutor between her Business School and other Partnership learning centres at her previous institution.
Dr Florence Kode holds a PhD in Business and Management, a Master of Research (MRes) in Business and Management Studies, a Master of Arts (MA) in International Human Resource Management, a Master of Science (MSc) in International Relations, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA)(Hons) in English. She is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). She was awarded the best postgraduate project in Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour at the University of Greenwich in 2012. She is a member of the British Universities Industrial Relations Association (BUIRA).
Prior to her teaching career, Florence has extensive industry experience, spanning over 25 years at the managerial and supervisory levels, especially in the multinationals and oil and gas, across continents, both in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.
