Esperanza is a senior lecturer at the Business, Management and Law Department at the Cardiff School of Management. She is also the Field Group Chair for the Languages and Cultural Diversity Field Group.
Esperanza holds a BA (Hons) from University of Alicante, a MA in applied Linguistics (Intercultural communication) from Cardiff University, a Post-graduate Certificate of Teaching in Higher Education (PgCTHE) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Social Research (PGCASR) both from Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Having joined the university in September 1993, Esperanza has extensive experience in programme management roles, academic leadership, validation events, international curriculum design and authentic assessment design.
From September 2008 to July 2021 Esperanza was the programme director for the BA (Hons) International Business Management Programme. She also has experience with transnational education and collaborative provision. From 2008 to 2011, Esperanza was the link tutor/moderator for the BA (Hons) International Business Management programme at Varna University of Management in Bulgaria.
