My name is Shazia Parveen, when I decided to opt to study in the UK I really wasn't confused at all because I have been following Wales for a long time. Unlike others, I know my place of study would be Cardiff but there were universities to select from and I googled a lot the very next day I decided it to be Cardiff Metropolitan University.
The main thing which always had attracted me about Wales is its culture and the positive vibes that it always gives you. After landing in Cardiff I found a bunch of adventures and places to visit, and I visited half of them within two months of being here.
While the Scholarship helped boost my confidence and do my best, my professors are the best people I ever met in my life they were very understanding and quick to respond and solve the academic problem that I faced during the beginning. Making me learn to the core of the subject and a very modern approach towards teaching.
I love the student hub it's where I and my friends chill a lot, cafeterias are awesome and we also have Starbucks there, you get to try different menu daily. A place I like to chill and often visit are Bute park and Roath gardens, I really love to read a book there, have a cup of coffee and ice cream as well.
People in Wales never let you down they always are very supportive and helpful every time, when you lost the way or need to know about the transport. You always will be treated with their warm smiles.
Away from home I never felt homesick because it is that good! The scenic views, amazing parks and beautiful flowers here make me happy from the core of my heart. I am amazed by the extraordinary singing talent you get to witness during a walk in the city center. It is the most calmest beautiful and amazing place to study with outstanding academical practices.
I feel blessed that it was the best decision of my life.
