Atticus and his wife moved to Cardiff in the middle of the pandemic, hoping to find a learning environment and opportunities different from those available to them in the United States. That sentence has since become a dramatic understatement to Atticus, as he has found a wide variety of opportunities that have exponentially increased his growth in his program and a course that offers interactive learning in a wholly unique way.
Atticus came to Wales because he loves sports, and having watched Wales throughout the 2016 Euros, knew that the nation was filled with pride for its national team and sporting events. Throughout his Sports Broadcasting course, not only has Atticus had the chance to work with some of Wales' best sports teams, but he has seen how much these teams matter to the local culture, and now knows that he always wants to be part of a similar culture.
As someone who loves the rain and cloudy skies, Cardiff is the perfect place for Atticus. Even for the rest of his family (who don't love the weather as much!), Cardiff is an incredibly beautiful place with plenty of opportunities for exploration every day of the week.
Through his program, Atticus has been able to travel around Cardiff, Newport, Wrexham, and London, all in support of Wales' best sports teams. Throughout the rest of his program, even more opportunities remain, and as someone who came to the United Kingdom with no contacts and no way into the sports industry, the Sports Broadcasting program and Cardiff Metropolitan University have been vital to him, and he is now well-positioned for future success as a result."
