Time: 1.00pm - 2.00pm
Hosted by Larysa (Lora) Agbaso and Gabriel Roberts (Senior Lecturer in TESOL).
We all have our stories to tell. Forced migration is often deeply connected with trauma that changes the way we live and learn. Teachers are often on the frontline dealing with learners' trauma and often with little training. This webinar is a blend of theory, research, reflections and personal lived experience. The brief introduction of trauma and its signs in the classroom will be followed by some tips on how to apply the trauma-informed model in teaching practice. This can benefit all the learners, not only those who have experienced trauma, especially in the current world.
