My role at the ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre
I support the co-ordination of the finances of approved projects, including EU funded through to claim submission within the ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre as determined by the Centre Finance Manager.
I liaise with the Centre Director, academics, technical and support staff in the processing and management of timesheets through to the claim process. I help ensure the University and the ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre (FIC) optimises its return on income and expenditure within its approved budgets and within agreed financial regulations, including EU standards. This occurs through salary and project income/expenditure analysis.
I produce financial reports that show the on-going monitoring of the accounts which are then reviewed by the ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre Senior Management Team.
I link with the rest of the ZERO2FIVE FIC Finance team to ensure that a full EU compliant audit trail of income and expenditure within the Centre is maintained at all times incorporating the Universities Agresso financial accounting system. I also advise the Centre’s Finance Manager on variations to planned financial expenditure monthly and provide suggestions on rectification measures as appropriate.
I report to the Finance Officer in the ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre and also deputise when required.
