“Understanding the importance of first-hand experience, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to intern twice with a global leader in professional services: EY Bermuda. Over the course of both internships, I had the invaluable opportunity to work under the ‘Consulting Service Line’ as well as the ‘Strategy and Transactions Service Line’ where I have found great interest.”

“Cardiff Met helped me shape my career path by opening doors to the job market. I have secured a job following my graduation by undertaking a placement year at NHS Finance and applying the knowledge taught to me during my time at university. Taking the placement year was not in my plans but Cardiff Met encouraged and supported me through the whole experience. The experiences I undertook at university enhanced my skills and developed my employability.”

“By the end of my second year, I had a brilliant opportunity to visit TP ICAP, a leading broker firm in Central London. We were shown around their trading floors and talked to the traders about their work. We took part in a trading game which got the room buzzing like the actual trading floors and we finished the day with a networking session. We were treated like VIPs, and we all learned a lot about how the real brokerage world is working.”

“I found the modules on the Banking & Finance course all interesting, and most importantly, relevant to what was going on in the world. The mixture of ways that you are assessed really impressed me – some modules required essays, others presentations, and some using excel spreadsheets or portfolios. To anyone thinking of applying to study Banking & Finance at Cardiff Met, I could not recommend it enough, there is nothing more rewarding than being in a place where everyone wants to learn and expand their knowledge.”
