“The MSc Human Resource Management (HRM) was tough, but valuable and I was lucky to experience it with some amazing people. My role as Student Rep enabled me to meet new people and help organise social events which was great. I chose to continue studying at Cardiff Met for the familiarity, supportive tutors and the CIPD Level 7 accreditation. I loved every moment and couldn’t have asked for better tutors, who were always happy to help and provide support when needed.”

“I had classmates from all over the world; India, Africa, France, Italy, and so many other places around the globe. It was truly a great experience working on projects together and understanding the role of cultures and how a variety of perspectives can contribute to the highest level of problem solving.”

Elianna Chavez

Meet the Team

I am very fortunate to be able to teach and research in my favourite subject area – Human Resource Management (HRM). Both teaching and research are hard because it is so important to deliver the best. They are also rewarding because successful outcomes have positive impacts on students and myself.

I have expertise in conducting both independent and collaborative research projects in the HRM field across cultural settings. I bring this into my teaching of the Research Skills module for MSc HRM students. My background enables me to guide and motivate students throughout their research project at each key stage. During my teaching of the International HRM module, I draw on my particular interests to stimulate class discussions of cross-cultural and international HRM issues.
