Providing Proof of Your Qualifications

Once you have received an offer from Cardiff Met, and decided to accept our offer, you will need to provide evidence of all the qualifications listed on your application.

UCAS Undergraduate Applicants

Admissions will need to verify your qualifications by August 31st, including your GCSE's or equivalent.  The easiest way to do this is by sending us your Unique Learner Number (ULN), so we can verify your qualifications through your Personal Learning Record (PLR).  Please email Admissions with your ULN.  If you do not have a ULN, we have listed further information below on what we can and can't accept as proof of your qualifications, as well as how to send them to Admissions.

If you are finishing your studies this summer, we should receive confirmation of your results from UCAS.  If we do not receive your results for any reason, or we do not receive them on time,  you will be contacted to provide evidence. We do not receive results for GCSE re-sits from UCAS, therefore if you are waiting on these results, please make sure you send confirmation of your results to Admissions as soon as received.

If you have received an unconditional offer following an interview, we would still like you to send us your qualifications.

If we haven't been able to verify your qualifications before the end of August, this may result in your place not being confirmed and could result in you being unable to collect your student MetCard during your Induction week.

UCAS Teacher Training Applicants

Admissions will need to verify all of your qualifications by August 31st, including your GCSEs or equivalent.

If your offer is conditional on the result of a first degree, please provide us with proof of this as soon as possible. If you are a current student at, or a recent graduate from Cardiff Met, we will verify your undergraduate degree result once the result has been issued.

We have listed further information below on what we can and can't accept as proof of your qualifications, as well as how to send them to Admissions.  Failure to provide us with proof of qualifications will result in your place not being confirmed.

Postgraduate, Part-time and Professional Applicants

You need to provide Admissions with sight of your qualifications four weeks prior to the start of your programme. Any specific qualification conditions associated with your offer will have been communicated to you via Cardiff Met's 'Self-Service' system and your offer letter.

If your offer is conditional on the result of a first degree, please provide us with proof of this as soon as possible. If you are a current student at, or a recent graduate from, Cardiff Met we will verify your undergraduate degree once the result has been issued.
