Figures released today (June 16 2022) by the newly published Graduate Outcomes 2019/20: data and statistics show that 95.6% of Cardiff Met graduates are in work or further study 15 months after leaving the university. This figure is up 2.3% from last year, despite a challenging year for the economy.
This figure is above the UK/Welsh average of 93.7% making Cardiff Met the best university in Wales for graduate employability.
When considering the level of work, 71.4% of our graduates have found professional level employment, up 3% from the 2021 results, showing another strong increase despite challenging conditions.
Cardiff Met graduates are also a critical part of the south Wales economy with 45% remaining in the area to pursue their careers.
The Graduate Outcomes data also provide a breakdown of the employment industries where the University’s graduates pursue their careers. The top three employment areas are: human health and social work; education; and wholesale and retail trade.
