On both occasions, the Partners met to select
scholars for undergraduate, master, doctoral and post-doctoral students and
staff level mobilities. The aim of the scholarships are to better adapt the
Syrian, Jordan, Palestinian and Lebanese institutions (EPIC) and the Moroccan,
Egyptian, Tunisian, Algerian and Libyan universities (EU-METALIC) to national
developmental needs in order to respond to globalisation challenges. Both
selection committees made the final selection of EPIC and EU-METALIC
scholarships in line with the criteria of academic merit and the cross-cutting
requirements of equal opportunities, gender-balance and real participation of
socio-economically disadvantaged people.
Notifications will be
sent out by the end of April 2013.
After successful candidates
have confirmed acceptance of their scholarships, numbers will be reviewed. If
there are places available we will look to offer places to reserve list
candidates based on a number of different factors around the original
assessments of the applications. Any successful reserve list candidates will be
notified of any changes in their application in due course. Please visit our EPIC
Facebook and EU-METALIC Facebook pages for any updates.
