I joined Cardiff Metropolitan University in November 2020 following eight years working as a lecturer at the University of South Wales. Prior to that I had an enjoyable primary school teaching career in various schools across South Wales. I completed my MA in Education (Leadership and Management) in 2019. I was awarded Fellowship to the Higher Education Association in 2019 also.
My current areas of research interest are in the impact of growth mind-set in developing learners' resilience and the use of simulated technology in Initial Teacher Education. I have recently presented at the International Professional Development Association annual conference on both areas of research interest and was also accepted to present at BERA 2020.
Currently, I work on both the undergraduate and post graduate provision for ITE leading on the Maths & Numeracy Area of Learning and Experience. I also teach professional studies, learning through play and child development.
