I joined Cardiff Metropolitan University 2003 as a Senior Lecturer in Education (Welsh Medium) on the PGCE Primary programme, later becoming Programme Director for a period of two years. Prior to this, I was the head of the Welsh department at Howell's School Cardiff where I taught Welsh as a first and second language to pupils from Nursery to sixth form. I was also head of Year 7, responsible for pastoral care and transition arrangements. At the school I was also responsible for Cwricwlwm Cymreig.
I graduate with a BA (Hons) in Welsh from the University of North Wales Bangor (1987) and then completed my PGCE at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth (1988). I completed my MAE at Cardiff Metropolitan University, then UWIC, in 2011.
Current Responsibilities:
PGCE Primary Tutor with responsibility for Partnership Arrangements with Welsh Medium Schools.
GTP Co-ordinator, Monitor and Assessor for the Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) in both primary and secondary sector for Cardiff Metropolitan University.
