I joined Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2007 as Innovation Support Manager with the remit of assisting the Associate Dean: Innovation with developing new ideas and supporting the existing innovation units within the Cardiff School of Education and Social Policy. Since 2007 I have been responsible for project managing numerous innovation ventures within the school and working closely with academic staff and external organisations to ensure the completion of projects in a timely and professional manner. The development of the International portfolio of the Cardiff School of Education and Social Policy has been a key part of my role which has included supporting the School's international summer programmes.
During 2010 research projects were also incorporated into my role to ensure greater synergy between the research and innovation activities within the Cardiff School of Education and Social Policy. This includes supporting the Associate Dean: Research with collation of research bids, conferences and supporting academic staff with research projects.
Prior to joining Cardiff Met I held the post of International Office Support Manager at the University of Southampton, this role consisted of recruiting and supporting international students and visitors to Southampton and developing network links with international universities.
I have a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and also completed my MBA in September 2010.
