Gweithiodd Dr Dylan Adams am nifer o flynyddoedd fel athro ysgol gynradd ac fel ymghynghorydd addysgol cyn symud i addysg uwch. Mae ei ddiddordebau ymchwil yn cynnwys: addysg awyr agored; addysg holistaidd; addysgeg fyfyriol; y celfyddydau mynegiannol a dulliau ffenomenolegol hermeneutig. Mae’n aelod o Bwyllgor Gweithredol o’r Gymdeithas Astudiaethau Addysg Prydain ( BESA) ac yn Gymrawd o Gymdeithas Frenhinol y Celfyddydau (FRSA) a hefyd yn Gymrawd yr Academi Addysg Uwch ( FHEA).
