​​​Mae Dr Bassam Al-shargabi yn Uwch Ddarlithydd mewn Peirianneg Meddalwedd yn Ysgol Dechnolegau Caerdydd, Prifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd. Derbyniodd ei PhD mewn Systemau Gwybodaeth Cyfrifiadurol yn 2009, a’i MSc mewn Systemau Gwybodaeth Cyfrifiadurol gan yr AABFS yn 2004. Mae Al-shargabi wedi bod yn olygydd gwadd ac yn aelod gweithgar o'r pwyllgor rhaglen dechnegol mewn llawer o gynadleddau rhyngwladol a chyfnodolion blaenllaw. Mae ei waith ymchwil wedi'i gyhoeddi mewn amryw o gyfnodolion a chynadleddau enwog Elsevier, IEEE, Springer, ac ACM.
