Biography
Originally from Northwest England, I studied photography at Manchester School of Art, where I achieved both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. I have also been an exhibiting artist, showing my work in a variety of galleries across the UK. I joined Cardiff School of Art and Design in 2022 in my role as Technical Demonstrator in Photography.
My specialist areas of knowledge include working with digital and film cameras, darkroom practice, alternative processes, editing and retouching, working within a studio, book making, exhibiting and curation.
My own practice explores non-linear ways of making photographs. Often referred to as ‘camera-less’ photography, I use a variety of materials and processes (both historical and modern) to create images that explore the parameters of photography.
