Smart Classroom unveiled on Her Majesty's Birthday

Cardiff Metropolitan University’s transnational education partner, the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS), unveiled a state of the art ‘Smart Classroom’ (Room Q90) inspired by Her Majesty's commitment to education and training.

Room Q90 was unveiled by distinguished guests from the British Embassy Beirut and the Chevening Secretariat London, who visited the campus in Hamra, Lebanon.

MUBS runs partnership programs with Cardiff Met, offering joint bachelor and MBA degrees in Lebanon. Room Q90 is equipped with high-tech video conference facilities, connecting four facilities virtually in Hamra, Damour, Aley, and Semkaneyeh, as well as getting MUBS classes connected with Cardiff Met.

Cardiff Met’s Pro Vice Chancellor (International), Professor Mohamed Loutfi, commented on the room and partnership between universities: ‘The ‘Smart Classroom’ will increase communications between Cardiff Met and MUBS, where the relationship is going from strength to strength. MUBS has been working well with Cardiff Met in the area of management and the partnership is now expanding to cover education and health sciences.’
